Detailed Solution

Handmade products came to symbolise refinement and class.
The industrial revolution emerged in England's second half of the eighteenth century. But by the end of the 18th century, there was a sense of reluctance among the people to accept the industrial changes. In Victorian Britain, the aristocracy often favoured handmade commodities. They considered machines inferior as they were produced on a large scale. They recognized handmade entities as refined and believed to be representing a Class. The handmade products were intricately designed and individually made with better finishing. They were keen to express themselves as a superior class and considered only machine-made goods fit for export.
