Detailed Solution

The Himadri contains all the prominent peaks of the Himalayas. These mountain ranges are west-east from the Indus River to the Brahmaputra. These mountains are one of the most rugged mountain barriers in the world. The northernmost range of the Himalayas is known as the Himadri, Inner Himalayas, or the Great Himalayas. South of the Himadri range is the Himachal or lesser Himalaya. The Himachal, or lesser Himalayas, is famous for the Kangra and Kullu valleys in Himachal Pradesh. It is the most continuous range of peaks with an average height of 6000 metres. It contains all of the prominent Himalayan peaks. Mount Everest, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, and Nanga Parbat are the world's highest peaks, all part of the Great Himalayas.
