Detailed Solution

Richard Arkwright created the cotton mill. Richard Arkwright was a well-known British inventor and entrepreneur during the Industrial Revolution. He is well known for creating the spinning frame, which was used to spin cotton and wool fibres into yarn. Arkwright's biggest accomplishment was mass manufacturing through the combination of power, semi-skilled labour, and raw materials. In 1771, Richard Arkwright and three other men established the first cotton mill with the assistance of many partners. The facility was located on the banks of the Derwent River near Cromford, Derbyshire. Arkwright's contrivance was dubbed the "water frame." It was the world's first water-powered cotton-driven spinning wheel.
