Geothermal energy is the energy obtained from the hot spots in the earth’s crust.
When molten rocks produced in the deeper heated layers of the earth’s crust are forced upward and stuck in specific regions due to geological changes, these regions are known as hot spots. Steam is formed if subsurface water comes into contact with the heated point. As a result, hot water from the region often finds its way to the surface. Such outlets are known as hot springs. The trapped steam in the rocks is transported through a channel to a turbine, which generates power.
