Detailed Solution

Veerasalingam Pantulu formed an association for widow remarriage in Madras. The Rajahmundry Social Reform Association was founded in 1878. The date of Veerasalingam Pantulu's birth was April 16, 1848. He was an advocate for social change, known in Telugu as the father of the Renaissance movement and frequently referred to as Raja Rammohan Roy of Andhra Pradesh. He used literature as a weapon in his battle against social injustice, and many of his writings represented his ideals and beliefs. For example, he began writing about women's difficulties in his journal, Viveka Vardhini, in 1876. However, after his pieces gained recognition, he founded his press, Rajahmundry. In those days, widow remarriage was frowned upon, and the speaker used passages from the Hindu Dharma Shastra to argue against it.
