Detailed Solution

Sayyid Ahmed Khan founded the Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was the father of Muslim nationalism in India. He was also a philosopher and an Islamic reformer. In Aligarh, he established the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875. It was initially a primary school. It was planned to advance it to the college level. The institution's operations began on May 24, 1875, the 56th anniversary of Queen Victoria's birth. The Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College was one of the top central universities before AMU replaced it. The institution's first name was Madrasatul Uloom Musalmanan-e-Hind; after two years, it was changed to Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College.
