Tertiary Sector: These activities help develop the primary and secondary sectors. But these activities, by themselves, do not produce goods but aid the production process. But then, employment in the service sector has not been increasing to the same extent as production because
1)      There are unskilled job-seekers, insufficient investment, difficulty doing business, and inadequate social security systems.
2)      Modern services, financial intermediation, real estate renting, and business activities recorded an increase in the employment share of only one percentage point between 1999-00 and 2009-10.
3)      Also, the growth in skilled jobs is not fast enough to accommodate India’s growing literate population.
