Muslim women advocated for women's education and built Aligarh's first elementary school for girls. Muslim women, like the Begums of Bhopal, made a significant contribution to the promotion of women's education. In Aligarh, they established a primary school for girls. Another fantastic woman, Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain, founded schools for Muslim females in Patna and Calcutta. She argued that religious leaders of all faiths gave women a lower status and was courageous opponent of conservative ideals.
