Concept- We must first understand why there is a need for a mirror inside large shopping complexes, and then we must match the characteristics of several mirrors in order to discover the mirror that is genuinely necessary inside a shopping complex to monitor consumer activity.
Vast shopping malls are located within large complexes, and it is impossible to have enough workers to inspect each and every counter in the complex individually. As a result, owners must devise a method for inspecting a vast area at once while simultaneously reducing the amount of staff required. To meet this need, they deploy convex mirrors to monitor the behaviour of customers. Convex mirrors are employed because they have a huge field of view, allowing the shopkeeper to track all activity inside the store at once and for all.
A convex mirror can generate an image in two ways. In the first example, the item is anywhere between the pole and infinity, and the position of the image is between the pole and the focus of the mirror, and the size of the object is diminished but the image is virtual and upright.
Second case - When the item is at infinity, the image generated is behind the mirror, and at the focus, the picture becomes significantly decreased and virtual.
Hence, answer is convex mirrors.
