Urbanisation is the migration of people from rural areas to urban areas. In rural areas, about 90% of the population is involved in agriculture. Some are landowners, while others are landless people or have little land; they work as labourers in the agricultural fields. Landlords employ labourers in their fields for only a particular season. Labourers help in sowing and harvesting crops. For the rest of the year, they are unemployed as there is no other source of income or jobs available in villages. Rural people migrate to urban areas to search for a job and earn money. This process is called urbanisation, where they can find new jobs.
