Detailed Solution

Mandapa is a place in temples where people can assemble. For public rites, it is a pillared hall or pavilion. Whether they have walls or not, mandapas are classified as either "open" or "closed." In temples, one or more mandapas frequently stand on the same axis between the sanctuary and the temple entrance. Other mandapas may be positioned to the sides or detached inside the boundaries of a central temple. It is a component of the whole temple complex and is utilised for religious dancing and music. Typically, the prayer hall was constructed in front of the temple's sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha).
