Amar Jibon is an autobiography of Rashsundari Debi. Rashsundari Devi was the first Bengali and Indian woman to write an autobiography. She was one of the first female writers of Bengali literature. She was born in 1810 in the village of Potajia, now Pabna, Bangladesh. She is the famous author of "Amar Jibon" (My Life), published in 1876. The book is classified into two parts. The first part consists of sixteen shorter compositions where she recounts her autobiography. The second part was published in 1906 and consisted of fifteen shorter compositions, each preceded by a poem of dedication, and the compositions of the first were relatively longer.
