Trivandrum International Airport is an international airport that serves the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India.
It is the first airport in Kerala and the sixth international airport in India, officially designated in 1991. The airport covers 700 acres and is located around 3.7 kilometers due west of the city centre and the Padmanabhaswamy Temple. It is close to Shankumugham Beach, making it India's closest airport to the sea, only around 0.6 miles away. It is India's eighth-busiest airport in terms of international traffic and the country's twenty-second busiest overall. In the fiscal year 2018-19, the airport handled over 4.4 million passengers and 33,093 aircraft.
