A site called Mehrgarh is situated close to the Bolan Pass, one of the most significant entrances to Iran, amid a rich plain. It was one of the first locations where people raised sheep, goats, and barley. Near the Bolan Pass, in a tiny, fertile plain, Mehrgarh is a prehistoric site. From this location, ruins of homes, potteries, animal bones, and graves have been discovered. On excavation, archaeologists discovered traces of animal bones. In addition, House ruins have been discovered here. Most homes were rectangular or square in shape. They often featured four or more compartments, some of which would have served as storage. In Mehrgarh, numerous graveyards have also been discovered.
