Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport is the primary aviation hub for India's eastern and northeastern regions and serves the Kolkata Metropolitan Area. It is in West Bengal, India. Locally, the airport was known as Kolkata Airport and Dum Dum Airport before being renamed in 1995 after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a key figure in India's freedom struggle.
