Detailed Solution

For the first time in India, all homes in Tamil Nadu must have rooftop rainwater collection systems. The defaulters are subject to legal sanctions. All new constructions must now have rainwater harvesting structures thanks to changes to Section 215(a) of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920, and the 1973 Building Rules. Ancient India has a great history of usage of water collection technology together with the construction of highly sophisticated hydraulic structures. They also had a thorough awareness of soil types and rainfall patterns. People have developed a wide variety of techniques to collect rainfall, groundwater, river water, and flood water in line with the ecological conditions of the local area and their personal water needs.
