Kafila is a group of several households that moves together for a journey.
When several households move together during the changing season, they are in groups called kafilas. They usually do a cyclic movement or periodic movement. It’s about all the shepherds that move seasonally, like winter and summer. Gaddi, Shepherds, Gujjar Bakarwals and Dhangars usually move in uncomfortable seasons with their cattle as Gujjar moves towards the Shivalik range. They divide the cattle into 10 groups and all the members in 10 groups. Then some cattle and people, when moving together, are known as kafila.
