Detailed Solution

Marseillaise is the national anthem of France.
After Louis XVI had ratified the Constitution, he held negotiations with the King of Prussia in secret. The developments in France alarmed other leaders, and they prepared to send troops to quell the unrest that had erupted since the summer of 1789. The National Assembly declared war on Prussia and Austria in April 1792, preventing this from occurring. Thousands of volunteers poured into the army from the regions. The Marseillaise, a patriotic song written by the poet Roget de L'Isle, was one of the songs they performed. Its name comes from the fact that volunteers from Marseilles performed it for the first time as they marched into Paris. France's current national anthem is The Marseillaise.
