1)      Average Income is used to compare the development of countries.
2)      Average income is also known as per capita income. It is the mean income of the people in an economic unit such as a country or city. The total income of a country is divided by its population.
3)      Their income is considered the most important attribute when comparing different countries. Countries with higher incomes are more developed than countries with lower incomes. We compare the countries with their average income or per capita income because different countries have different populations.
4)      According to World Bank 2017, above 1,43,000 incomes fall in the category of rich countries. Below 37,000 are called low-income countries and countries between 1,43,000-37,000 are rich countries.
5)      The limitation of the average income is that it does not tell us precisely the distribution of things in people and does not give any information about how items are distributed in that region or country.
