Detailed Solution

Judiciary keeps checks on the powers of the legislature and the executive. Judiciary is responsible for safeguarding the Constitution and the Fundamental Rights of citizens. The judiciary must not let any law come into existence that is unconstitutional and harms the rights and basic structure of the Constitution. Also, the Chief Justice of India and the Chief Justice of high courts can’t be removed easily once appointed. They are independent of the influence of the other two organs. The Constitution guarantees this independence of the judiciary to ensure that the other two organs can’t control the rulings of courts and that the judges can give fair and correct judgments without bias. Also, it can declare any law not according to the Constitution unconstitutional and illegal, and such a law can not be implemented.
