Landless labourers kind of people are considered poor in India. When someone lacks the resources or financial means to meet even the most basic survival needs, they are said to be poor. The impoverished live in kutcha huts, with roofs made of grass, bamboo, thatch, and wood, and walls made of baked mud. Even such dwellings are not available to the poorest of them. Many of them don't have much land in the rural areas. Even if some of them have land, it is either barren or arid. Many people do not even receive two meals each day. Families in poverty are characterized by starvation and hunger because they frequently lack basic skills in reading and employment.
