Detailed Solution

Culturable waste land is left uncultivated for more than 5  agricultural years. The land would be considered a culturable wasteland if it was not cultivated for more than five years. Such areas can be improved and improved through reclamation procedures before being put under cultivation. It is not used for a variety of constraints with varying degrees, such as salinity, waterlogging, and soil erosion. The culturable wastelands and wastelands, however, have decreased over time as pressure on land rose from both agricultural and non-agricultural sectors. From 6.23 per cent in 1960–61 to 4 per cent in 2014–15, less land fell into this category.
