Detailed Solution

The non-cooperation movement of 1921 was started by Gandhiji.
According to Gandhiji, British rule in India was established with the cooperation of the Indian people and it was only with the cooperation of these people that it was able to survive.
So now it is time to withdraw this cooperation from the British.
World War I also added to the suffering of the Indian people.
High prices, heavy taxes, drought, and epidemics made the lives of Indians miserable.
The Rowlatt Act called for mass protests across the country.
The injustice done to Punjab and the Jalliawala Bagh massacre made the Indians even angrier, all these incidents needed to be avenged.
To restore the status of the ruler of Turkey.
To bring Swaraj or Swarajya in India.
Thus, the reasons for starting the non-cooperation movement were ubiquitous, and that is why this movement united everyone in the country.
