Detailed Solution

Convex mirror is used as reflector in street lamps.
A convex mirror allows us to utilise it as a reflector in street lights since it diverges the light beams that strike it.The image produced by a convex mirror is always virtual and diminished. An image formed by the convex mirror when the object is placed between pole and infinity in front of the mirror is behind the mirror between pole and focus. The image will be virtual and erect and smaller than the object. But when the object is at infinity from a convex mirror, the image will be at focus, virtual and erect, and highly diminished.
