Concave mirrors are used in torch reflectors because when the bulb of the headlight is situated at the focus of the concave mirror, after the reflection, it will allow the light to spread out to infinity. The lights emitted by the bulbs of the torch cover a wider field of view. This is exactly why the light rays from a bulb of a torch can reach out to a great distance.
A concave mirror is a mirror which consists of a reflective surface that is curved inward, and the curve is away from the light source. Unlike convex mirrors, depending on the distance between the object and the mirror, the image formed by a concave mirror shows different image types.
