Ahmadullah Shah of Faizabad prophesied that British rule would end soon.
At the time of the 1857 Revolt, many new leaders started to mobilise the people against the British and their forces. A maulvi from Faizabad named Ahmadullah Shah was one of them. He prophesied that the British Empire would soon come to an end. He captured the public's attention and amassed a sizable amount of supporters. To fight the British, he travelled to Lucknow.
