Detailed Solution

Patidars of Gujarat took part in the Civil disobedience movement.
The rich peasants took part in the civil disobedience movement because the fight for Swaraj for them meant the fight against high revenues. Rich peasants like the Patidars of Gujarat and Jats of Uttar Pradesh also participated in the civil disobedience movement. They joined because they produced commercial crops and were poorly hit by the trade depression and the falling prices. Due to this, their income decreased, and they could not pay the government’s demand for revenue on time. However, the colonial government was not ready to reduce the revenue demand. This caused widespread resentment amongst the peasants who also participated in this movement because they believed it would help in their situation and put forward their demand to lower the high revenue in front of the colonial government.
