Richard M. Hoe of New York developed the power-driven cylindrical press during the middle of the nineteenth century. This press had an output rate of 8,000 sheets per hour. In addition, the offset press, which could print up to six colours at once, was also created. Hence, the electrically powered presses accelerated printing operations at the turn of the 20th century. Moreover, the appearance of printed texts changed due to numerous technological advancements.
