Detailed Solution

Haldia port is built at the meeting place of the Haldi River and Hooghly River.
Haldia port, also known as the Haldia Dock Complex, was established at the confluence of the Haldi and Hooghly rivers. As the port's partner, the Kolkata Port Trust was established. As a result, it is not a port. It is a government dock facility. It has a huge hinterland that includes the entire northeast of India, including West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, and the North East Hill States, as well as two landlocked neighbours, Nepal and Bhutan, and the Autonomous Region of Tibet (China). The port, which stretches for roughly 50 kilometres south of Kolkata, is India's fourth-largest. The port of Haldia has a cargo capacity of 43 million tonnes.
