The Great or Inner Himalayas or the Himadri consist of the loftiest peaks and are snow-covered. The  Himachal or lesser Himalaya consist of various other ranges that consist of various valleys such as Kashmir valley, Kangra valley, Kullu valley etc. This region is well-known for its hill stations. The Shivaliks are the outermost range and are the most populated Himalayan region.
