EPIC, referred to as the Voter ID, is an identity card given to Indian adult people by the Election Commission of India.
The Election Commission of India gives this card to Indian citizens who are at least 18 years old and are adults. It shows one is whom they say they are when they vote in an election. Usually, it is a piece of paper that shows a person's photo, address, and age. It also has the signature of a person who works for the electoral registry. It is a PVC-colored version of an ATM-sized card. It can also act as identity proof when one buys a SIM card or applies for a visa. When voters' home address changes, they must sign up again for a voter ID card. Everyone on the list of voters receives this paper. When the electors go out to vote, they must carry this card so that no one else will vote for them.
