Detailed Solution

Stock refers to the materials which have the potential to satisfy the needs of humans but requires appropriate technical support to access them.
Resources can be classified based on how developed they are. Potential and developed resources, stock, and reserves are the divisions of resources based on their level of development. Water is an example of stock resources. It is a combination of hydrogen and oxygen that can be used to produce huge amounts of energy. But it requires proper technical support and knowledge to utilise. Reserves are a subset of stock, which can be used by technical know-how, but their use is not yet started.
