Detailed Solution

Acquit refers to the court declaring a person is not guilty of the crime the court tried for them.
In common law jurisdictions, an acquittal claims that the accused should be set free from the charge of an offence as far as criminal law is concerned. The end of an acquittal is dependent on the jurisdiction. Both sides are heard, and after verifying all the evidence, if the judge thinks that there is no sufficient evidence against the accused, the basis of which the case may proceed further, the person is certified acquittal. This verdict is given as per the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. The Magistrate issues a discharge order when there are not enough grounds to continue the proceedings against the accused.
