Detailed Solution

Vladimir Lenin returned to Russia in April 1917.
Vladimir Lenin, the founder of the Bolshevik movement, returned to Russia from exile in April 1917. Since 1914, he and the Bolsheviks have opposed the war. Lenin believed that the time had come for the Soviets to seize control. He demanded to end the conflict, give land to the peasants, and nationalise the banks. The "April Theses" of Lenin had these three demands. Additionally, he suggested that the Bolshevik Party change its name to the Communist Party to reflect its new, radical objectives. The April Theses first astonished the majority of other Bolsheviks. They believed that a socialist revolution was yet unrealistic.
