Detailed Solution

The Minimum Wages Act specifies that the wages of workers should not be less than the minimum wages set by the Government. A living wage is the minimum amount of money required for good health, adequate dietary needs, and access to education, according to the Indian Constitution. A fair wage is also calculated based on a company's financial ability to pay. But because of the high rate of unemployment in the Indian economy and the general ignorance of these regulations, roughly 40% of workers receive less money than the minimum wage imposed by the Government. Therefore, it is imperative to rigorously enforce these rules so that workers at least receive a living wage.
