Detailed Solution

Chandragupta II the Gupta ruler whose name was inscribed on the iron pillar at mehrauli, delhi.
According to a well-known inscription on an iron pillar in Mehrauli, one of the most well-known Gupta dynasty monarchs was captured. King Chandra, commonly known as the king of the Gupta Empire, is mentioned in the earliest inscription discovered on the pillar. According to legend, the pillar was built between 375 and 415 CE. The metals used to build the pillar have a reputation for resisting rubbing. It is thought that the pillar was first built during the Delhi Sultanate, possibly outside the Udayagiri caves, and then it was transported to its present place in the Mehrauli Qutub complex. Chandragupta II penned the earliest inscriptions on the pillar.
