Detailed Solution

Children up to the age of 14 years old are entitled to get free education. This comes under one of the Directive Principles of State Policies, in which the Constitution of India directs the states to ensure free education to children. It is included in Part IV of the Indian Constitution. Education is crucial for the development of society as it can help eradicate poverty, decrease social inequalities, empower citizens and improve one's life quality. Hence, the Right to Education has also become a fundamental right. It was done by passing the RTE or the Right to Education Act in 2009. It is included in Article 21A of the Indian Constitution. The state governments are required to provide free and compulsory education for all children from the age of 6 up to the age of 14 years.
