Detailed Solution

Kabul was a major centre to buy and exchange horses. Due to its rugged, steep topography, Kabul (in modern-day Afghanistan) began to attain political and economic significance in the sixteenth century. The well-known Silk Road connected Kandahar and Kabul. Additionally, a lot of horse commerce was conducted along this route. Diamond merchant Jean Baptiste Tavernier estimated the value of the horse trade in Kabul at Rs 30,000 per year in the seventeenth century; this sum was substantial at the time. Camels carried fresh fruits, rugs, dates, and other things from Kabul to the subcontinent and other locations.
