Detailed Solution

Protestant Reformation was a sixteenth-century movement to reform the Catholic Church dominated by Rome. Print opened up a new realm of debate and discussion and allowed ideas to spread widely. Even those who disapproved of the power structure could now publish and share their opinions. They were able to change people's minds and inspire action through printed messages. The Protestant Reformation was a movement in the sixteenth century to reform the Rome-dominated Catholic Church. One of the critical Protestant reformers was Martin Luther. The movement gave rise to several anti-Catholic Christian traditions. In his Ninety-Five Theses, Martin Luther criticized many Roman Catholic traditions and rites published in 1517. In Wittenberg, a printed version of this was nailed to a church door. It invited the Church to discuss his viewpoints. The writings of Luther were both extensively read and frequently reproduced. This caused conflict within the Church and sparked the Protestant Reformation.
