Detailed Solution

Vellalar was a word used for large landowners in Tamil. The history of Vellalar is related to the Lander aristocracy, serving high military posts, and Court officials in the great dynasty who ruled South India. They belong to an agrarian community that had access to education. Until the end of the Chola dynasty, they held important positions despite being small in population. They were very influential people because they hold a high position.  These people belonged to the Hindu community and also were worshippers of  Lord Shiva.  These people are still found in places like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Sri Lanka. The majority of them speak Tamil. Even today they handle important positions in society.
