Detailed Solution

Abdul Ghaffar khan was also known as Frontier Gandhi. Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan was a Pashtun independence activist who worked to abolish the British Raj's control in India. He was dubbed "Frontier Gandhi" because of his nonviolence and close friendship with Mahatma Gandhi. In Peshawar, he led the Civil Disobedience Movement. When Abdul Ghaffar Khan, an ardent disciple of Mahatma Gandhi, was imprisoned in April 1930, outraged crowds took to the streets of Peshawar, facing armoured cars and police shootings. Many people died. When Mahatma Gandhi was arrested a month later, Sholapur industrial workers attacked police stations, municipal buildings, law courts, and railway stations, representing British rule. A terrified government responded with a campaign of violent repression. Peaceful satyagrahis were attacked, women and children were beaten, and around 100,000 people were imprisoned.
