Bhagat Singh was hanged on March 23 1931, in Lahore along with his associates, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev.
One of India's most notable and well-known liberation fighters was Bhagat Singh. He heroically fought for the nation's independence as a socialist revolutionary. However, he started to think that only a violent uprising could bring freedom. He later received a lot of support from Lala Lajpat Rai. Bhagat Singh decided to exact revenge when Lala Lajpat Rai passed away following a few days of a lathi charge directed by a British police officer. But he and his accomplices were accused of killing a British police officer and were all convicted. Thus on March 23, 1931, Bhagat Singh and his friends Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev were hung in Lahore.
