INC was reunited in the 1915 session. Moderates and Extremists argued during the years 1905 and 1907. The Surat split (1907) occurred at the Surat session of the Indian National Congress (INC) when the Moderates and Radicals were split into two sections. After almost ten years, the 1915 session united moderates and extremists in Congress. The Lucknow Pact was signed by Congress and the All-India Muslim League. To put constitutional pressure on the British Government to enact reforms, Moderates, Extremists and Muslim League tried to establish a unified platform with the Congress.
