Detailed Solution

Ashoka was the first king to try to convey his message to the people through inscriptions. The way Ashoka the Great spoke with his subjects set him apart from other kings. He was the first king of his era to engrave messages on slabs and pillars to communicate with his subjects. He wrote instructions in those inscriptions and placed them in prominent places so that people may see and comprehend them. The majority of these instructions were composed in Brahmi and Prakrit script. Emperor Asoka left 33 carvings (text/composing) throughout his entire domain, including on columns, rocks, and subterranean partitions.
