Detailed Solution

Ananga Pala was the first ruler who established his capital at Delhi. One of the early medieval minor governing houses in northern India was the Tomara dynasty. The family's information comes from a variety of sources, making it impossible to fully recreate their history. Its earliest known site is in the Himalayan region, according to Puranic evidence. The dynasty was one of the 36 Rajput tribes. Between the reign of Ananga Pala, who created the city of Delhi in the 11th century CE, and Delhi's admission into the Chauhan kingdom in 1164, the family's history is covered. Even though Delhi later firmly fell under the control of the Chauhan kingdom, numismatic and recent literary evidence suggests that Tomara kings like Ananga Pala and Madanapala continued to rule as feudatories, most likely up until the Muslims' final conquest of Delhi in 1192–1193.
