Detailed Solution

Swami Vivekanand was the founder of Ramakrishna Mission. It was also known as the Vedanta Movement and was a worldwide spiritual movement centred on the Ramakrishna Mission, a Hindu religious and spiritual organisation.
Vivekananda founded the group in 1897 near Calcutta (now Kolkata) with the dual goals of promoting Vedanta teachings, as evidenced in the life of the Hindu saint Ramakrishna Paramhansa (1836–86) and improving the social conditions of the Indian public. In addition to religious and spiritual instruction, the organisation engages in significant humanitarian and educational endeavours in India and worldwide. This aspect ultimately found its way into many other Hindu movements.
