Asaf Jah was the founder of the Hyderabad state. Hyderabad was established as a state by Asaf Jah. one of the Mughal court's most powerful figures. He was initially given the responsibility of Awadh and afterwards the responsibility of Deccan. Due to the turmoil in Deccan and the frailty of the Mughal Court, he strengthened his position. He imported from north India authorities highly skilled warriors for his state. Despite acting independently, he continued to be a Mughal Empire agent. The Mughals rarely interfered with him, and he only occasionally accepted their judgments.
