Detailed Solution

Bahadur Shah Zafar was the last Mughal Emperor.
Bahadur Shah II, often known as Bahadur Shah Zafar (Persian pronunciation: Zafar, lit. Victory), was the twentieth and last Mughal Emperor of India and an Urdu poet. He was born Mirza Abu Zafar Siraj-ud-din Muhammad (24 October 1775 – 7 November 1862). He was Akbar II's second son and the heir apparent to his father, who died on September 28, 1837. He was a titular Emperor because the Mughal Empire existed only in name, and his authority was restricted to the walled city of Old Delhi (Shahjahanabad). Following his participation in the 1857 Indian Mutiny, the British banished him to Rangoon in British-controlled Burma in 1858 after convicting him of various crimes.
