Detailed Solution

Lenin was the leader of the Bolsheviks.
Lenin said the Great War was a "capitalist war" that enslaved the populace to benefit a few. Lenin would have ended the war by shattering the alliance of the Entente Powers if he had taken control of Russia. According to Berlin's policy, Lenin and his Bolsheviks intended to destabilise Russia to ease the strain of fighting on the Eastern Front during the First World War. He asserted that Germany and the Russian revolutionaries had the same interests. Instead, the Soviet Union overthrew the interim government, took control, and eventually dissolved the Triple Entente military alliance with France and Britain. It effectively signalled the end of the war for Russia.
