Detailed Solution

Maximilien Robespierre was the leader of the Jacobin club. The radical Jacobin leader, Maximilien Robespierre, played a key role in the French Revolution. He took control of the Committee of Public Safety in the latter months of 1793, which served as the Revolutionary government's main organ during the Reign of Terror. However, in 1794, he was ousted and put to death. Nevertheless, he immediately caught the attention in a gathering of eminent figures. On May 18, 1789, he most likely delivered his debut speech. Throughout the National Assembly's existence, he would go on to deliver more than 500 speeches.
